Word Formation
Word formation is a fundamental topic in the General Intelligence and Reasoning section. It tests how well a student can manipulate letters to create new words or organize existing ones. In this topic, you are usually given a long word called a Parent Word. You must then check if smaller words can be built using only the letters available in that parent word. For example, if the parent word is RESTAURANT, you can form STAR or RUST.
